The Finance Shared Services has an opening for the position of Americas Products Senior Analyst. FSS Americas Products within Chevron Business Support Center provides support to Americas Products organization by overseeing the accounting behind transportation and commercialization of Oil and GAS (O&G) refined products and derivates; as well as Renewable Energies to Chevron customers through our owned, third-party, aviation, lubricants, base oils and CNG terminals and stations located across US and Canada. In this position, Senior Analyst will have the opportunity to: + Get a deeper understanding on company core activities such as inventory management of refined products and how operations translate into accounting. + Coordinate and support month-end close activities and prepare information required by the business, finance and consolidation groups. + Exercise/Improve communication skills to meet customers’ high expectations. + Strive to deliver exceeding results in a very dynamic business, producing timely value-adding data to feed the Business’ decision-making process. + Innovate, proactively explore new technologies and adopt growth mindset. + Deep dive in Americas Products financial results. Main responsibilities for this position: + Get fluent on industry standards and products´ flow through diverse supply systems and mode of transport. + General oversight of activities such as: + Stock & Inventory reconciliation on Chevron owned and Third-Party Terminals of diverse products like Fuels, Diesel, Lubricants and Base Oils. + Product supply, contract review & price discrepancies + Analyze, account, and reconcile Supply and Exchange Contracts with external counterparts. + Reporting and analysis for Trading, Manufacturing or Refining segments. + Perform General Ledger Account Reconciliations and Month End Closing financial activities. + Use technology and critical thinking to lead high-quality decisions. + Strive for process efficiencies and continuous process improvement environment. + Understand and apply accounting fundamentals & principles to operational and closing activities. + Build engaging and meaningful relationships with internal partners and external customers. + Proactive participation in local and global networks. Required Experience and Qualifications: + Finance or accounting degree with at least 10 years of finance/accounting work experience. + Demonstrate Growth Mindset to explore new technologies to enable innovation. + Fluent in written and oral English. + Skilled individual user in Microsoft Office suite – visualization tools Power Bi, automation tools Power App is preferred. + SAP experience. + Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, able to work in dynamic scenarios. + Critical thinking + Adaptability to change. + Enjoy working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds. + Teamwork.
