Apprentice - Business Administrator
About Your Role

We are hiring an Apprentice to join the Resourcing Centre of Excellence as a Business Administrator, supporting the Group Resourcing Director.  This is a fast paced function that offers excellent opportunities for development and exposure for hard working, dedicated professionals.

For this vacancy you will have the opportunity to gain a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship qualification. You will focus on adding value, enhancing efficiency, and contributing to the wider Resourcing and People teams.

As a Business Administration Apprentice at Mitie, you will dive deep into the world of Resourcing administration, working alongside seasoned professionals in a dynamic, supportive environment. This entry-level position is designed to kick-start your career in Resourcing administration, offering hands-on experience with real-world projects.

What You'll Be Doing Providing high-level administrative and project support to the Group Resourcing Director. Prepare and review reports, presentations, and communications for internal and external stakeholders, producing executive summaries for easy digest. Coordinate the delivery updates of key initiatives across the Resourcing Centre of Excellence; Temporary, Permanent, Apprenticeship and Executive Hiring, Strategic Workforce Planning, Talent Attraction & Recruitment Marketing and Supplier Engagement. Proactively manage weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting updates. Support the monitoring of the Resourcing function budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting in partnership with the Finance Business Partner. Organising meetings, events, and presentations, managing diaries, preparing agendas, minutes, and materials and room booking. Developing and implementing process improvements and best practices creatively Committing to excellence, learning, and continuous improvement Supporting the Resourcing Leadership Team on projects and miscellaneous assignments. About You  You are a digital native, with strong technical skills and MS Office experience / skills. You are highly organised, thorough, and methodical, able to work on your own initiative and collaborate as part of cross-functional teams. You work to a high level of data accuracy and have a high attention to detail. You are comfortable with changing priorities and able to prioritise your own workload, seeking input from the Resourcing Leadership Team when there is ambiguity. You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and you can succinctly assimilate and summarise data. You have a flexible attitude and are discrete, comfortable working with sensitive personal data. You must have a strong understanding and respect for confidentiality. You are solutions oriented, ready to present potential solutions when identifying issues. Committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that values diversity and social responsibility. What do we look for in our apprentices? You should have an interest and passion for your chosen apprenticeship pathway. You should enjoy creative problem solving, thinking critically and getting practical, hands-on experience. You should be committed to learning and completing studies in your chosen pathway. You will have Maths and English Level 4-9 or equivalent/ Scottish National 5 certificates grade A to C and you should be able to provide these certificates upon request. What else?  You will be hired on a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 3 years. You will be working 40 hours per week and complete your online studies alongside your duties.
