About the team:

The LATAM eCommerce division is growing. Our Business Development Managers develop markets with end-to-end responsibility of sourcing leads and converting satisfied customers and growing our brand locally. As experts in what we do, we operate across verticals that represent the most exciting opportunities for global eCommerce growth – Digital Content, Global Retail, Airlines, Regulated Gambling and Travel – and in doing so we are privileged to partner with many of the world’s most dynamic organizations. Our strategic aim is to drive differentiated value for our customers by increasing their profitability and hence Worldpay’s share of wallet. To achieve this, we aim to reach more customers in more markets, in local language and with local payment options. 

What you will be doing:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth through the sale of products and/or services to new clients in their specific market and vertical. The role will include responsibility in developing and managing the end-to-end sales cycle from creation of a prospect pipeline to contract execution and processing of ‘live’ transactions for new merchant accounts.

Initiates contact with prospective clients operating in the retail, digital, and travel industries in Argentina.

Collaborates with sales teams and focuses on growing the existing customer base in LATAM.

Leverages product knowledge of various solutions, markets, and competitive intelligence to prepare and present compelling proposals.

Negotiates and closes opportunities that exceed customer expectations.

Builds new relationships from scratch, using a portfolio of target clients as well as attracting new ones.

Demonstrates effective pipeline management of self-, partner-, and marketing-generated leads ands opportunities.

Communicates professionally in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.

What you bring:

At least 2-4 years of full-cycle sales experience including researching, discovering needs, and recommending solutions to solve business problems.

Proven track record of new business solution selling, ideally within payments or similar industries such as software solutions or technology.

Fluency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.

A consultative approach that’s successful with C-suite and business owners.

Ability to deliver value without selling on price.

Strong negotiation skills, strategic sales training, and determination to operate at the ground and move up to engage at the C-suite.

An analytical mindset and methodological way of working.

Concise and direct communication skills.

Bonus: 

Experience working within the Travel, Digital, or Retail space
