Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Finance Director to join our team at Gallagher Re. As the Corporate Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance of our global business. How you'll make an impact Financial Planning & Analysis Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting processes for the Global Centre. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and resource allocation. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement. Finance Reporting & Compliance Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial documentation. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and address any audit findings. Risk Management Identify and assess financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial risk management. Strategic Financial Planning Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team, supporting business growth and profitability. Conduct financial analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall organizational goals. Team Leadership and Development Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the finance department. Promote collaboration and cross-functional partnerships to achieve financial objectives. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting. Implement best practices and leverage technology to enhance financial analysis capabilities. About you Degree educated Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent) Proven track record in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a corporate finance or FP&A role. Previous experience in a senior finance role within a insurance and/or broking sector, or regulated financial services firm Knowledge of Reinsurance and general insurance products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity is desirable Experience of M&A deals is highly desirable Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, etc.). Experience of dealing with financial services regulators Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
