Data Engineering - SQL/TSQL and Azure


What you’ll do 

\n

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Data Engineering - SQL/TSQL and Azure to join our fast-paced, dynamic team. This role involves support to architects for Embedded SRE (Platform) to help current data architects in the day-to-day tasks supporting various teams in GTP.  Successful candidates must have sound skills and hands-on experience with SQL Server, strong SQL skills (familiar with T-SQL and complex queries), and the ability to troubleshoot poor-performant queries.

Key Responsibilities:

\n\nUnderstanding the specific requirements of our internal customers and providing tailored synthetic data solutions.\nWork with dynamic T-SQL queries, DDL, DML statements for creating objects, making updates, and managing user permissions.\nDesign the data warehouse schema and optimize the existing reporting for the trading re-conciliation and compliance system.\nUsed database consistency checks using DBCC utilities.\nProvide strategic vision and tactical direction for the DBA function.\nAnalyze the long running and high CPU utilize queries on the server by using profiler and performance monitoring.\nDesign data models and support developers by tuning queries creating views, store procedures, functions and DTS packages.\nWork on dynamic SQL batches for bulk data transfers into OLTP environment and event handle with alerts on package functioning.\nCreate multiple dimensions, perspectives, hierarchies, and dynamic measures (DAX) to analyze performances of each KPI.\n\n

Minimum Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.\nLanguage Level: Advanced English\nKnowledge of index structures, statistics and query metrics are a must.\nKnowledge of disaster recovery/high availability solutions.\nKnowledge of SQL Server development/administration tools.\nSQL Server Management Studio.\nAzure Data Studio.\nProficiency with SQL Server profiling tools.\nHigh proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and performant TSQL code.\n\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n\nKnowledge of Git, or any other versioning tool, to maintain the source code of the definition of database objects and scripts.\nData modelling skills\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and self-starter\nStrong communication skills with the ability to make complex concepts understandable.\nStrong research skills\nAbility to work and coordinate with multiple stakeholders and customers.\n\n
