Finance Manager

Leads all the financial planning and analysis activities and ensures the integrity of the financial results by acting as strategic business partner for the Argentina leadership team and working with the business units and global finance shared services.
 

MAIN LOCAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct discussions on financial performance of the entity and partner with the Entity Manager, BU local leaders and WA BU Finance leaders to set plans and drive financial commitments. Provide monthly financial analysis of actuals and quarterly/annualy orders and SG&A forecasts. Provide financial leadership for division specific initiatives in the region. Among others, these initiatives would include: Working capital improvements Cash management improvement (including but not limited to currency exposure) Protection of company’s assets Adherence to company’s Ethics programs Compliance with Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA) Revenue recognition practices Actively engage with the global financial services in Costa Rica and Manila to ensure proper control and financial oversight of the accounting, including but not limited to all projects accounted for under Oracle Project Accounting, E&O, Accruals, Intercompany Payables reconciliations, etc. Analyze and validate the integrity of the operating results including but not limited to profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and asset metrics (DSO, ITO, DPO). Recognize patterns in the spending, headcount, profitability, pricing, revenue, foreign exchange, inventory, accounts receivables and payment terms, among some of the key financial metrics, for the entity and recommend solutions to any problem areas. Develop, analyze, and interpret key performance metrics and accounting information to evaluate financial and operating results and recommend areas of opportunity for efficiency and cost savings. Monitor and communicate to GM and CFO, proactively, any changes in the country’s economy and evaluate impact to the financial statements. Assist the sales office in developing and implementing asset management improvement initiatives to ensure expected returns on company’s investments, as well as budgeting and planning activities. Provide support to GM and CFO in preparation of Board Meetings material, Business Review, and some ad hoc meetings/reports. Participate in internal and anti-corruption audits by providing documentation and answers to auditors as requested/needed. Comply with Local and Corporate Finance Policies (filing, certifications, presentations to Corporate and/or to Local Authorities). Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and Emerson’s policies and procedures. Ensure Financial Statements are timely audited by external auditors. Ensure all Tax matters are accurate and timely filled. Participate in all mandatory training provided by the company, such as those related to Trade Compliance and all training related to compliance with legal regulations and / or Corporate Policies and may also be the mentor/guide of these issues if it is required.

REQUIREMENTS 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and master’s in finance, controllership, or related fields. Fluent in English and Spanish. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting and financial management. In-depth knowledge of Oracle, GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High analytical mind and detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills. Outstanding leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Excellent judgement and ability to support senior management. Multitasker and problem solver. Adherence to the highest ethics standards.
