Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Fourmile Project Team.  The successful candidate will be part of a team of diverse technical specialists, collaborating to develop a safe, modern and efficient operation

Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager with the safe execution of project construction and development activities. The selected candidate will work cooperatively with operations and engineering colleagues to develop project economics, and track project status and costs.  Be a key contributor to the development of a world class underground asset from pre-feasibility through to operation Maintain the study project budget, execution schedules and cost accounting. Assist in mine planning and deliver plan compliance through short term interval control.  Planning and execution of infrastructure items  Contractor invoice review, contract development, sourcing, requisition generation and consumables procurement.  Identify and implement business improvement opportunities relating to the project development. Assist mine engineers with mine designs, schedules and costing to incorporate the impact of model and design changes into project forecasts and budgets. Work closely with Health, Safety, Environmental, Permitting, Asset Management, Reliability, Operations and Technical Services, to research, analyze and provide supporting documents for inclusion in project scopes Incorporate a safety mindset in all tasks performed, reducing risk in designs, plans and perform Planned General Inspections (PGIs) of work areas. Assist in development of and ensure adherence to ground support standards, provide training as necessary. Participate in ground support audits, pull testing, and sampling and testing shotcrete, grout and resin. Assist the Environmental/Permitting group in obtaining required permits to prevent delays in project execution: construction, commissioning, and final handover to the mine Research and provide information for inclusion in project scopes of work subsequent contracts, procurement orders, required supporting documentation, and performs other duties as assigned Formulate project parameters, and assist in monitoring progress to address constraints The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.            

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mine Engineering and 5 years of experience, or a related field with equivalent experience required Previous mine scheduling and cost analysis experience required Technical communication and presentation skills required Mining or heavy mineral industry experience required Ventilation experience preferred
