Head of Services Procurement

Indirect and Commercial Operations Procurement is currently seeking a new Manager to lead the Services Procurement team. This role involves leading a diverse and motivated team with commercial responsibility for a crucial aspect of Scania’s and Traton's ongoing journey. Additionally, you will be an integral part of the Indirect Material and Services management team – known for its supportive and transparent culture that delivers excellent results.

 

You and your team will collaborate closely with several of the core functions and their management,  such as R&D, IT, HR and Finance. Many highly prioritized projects at Scania and at Traton Group are dependent on external Service providers and its is your Team’s responsibility to secure these partners and the sourcing strategy linked to this entire Commodity.

Together with your team you will manage a supplier base with a yearly spend of several hundred million euro and in addition to this you will be involved in digitalization and change management both on a Scania and on a Traton level.

 

These are just a few examples where you and your team will play a crucial role in driving the commercial strategy and agenda. This includes considering the key value drivers of Traton Procurement: Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Sustainability (TQDCS).

 

Internally, you will represent Scania Procurement and collaborate with various cross-functional teams and organizations. Effective collaboration with other Traton Brands (MAN, VW T&B, and Navistar) and Volkswagen is essential to maximize the full commercial potential within the Services Commodity.

As the leader, you will be managing a team of ten engaged members, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone is treated with equality and respect. This diverse team values trust, open discussions, and a coaching leadership style to enable both individual and team performance.

Each team member manages a complex segment, making cross-functional work a common practice and part of the normal situation. Your leadership, guided by Scania Values and Leadership Principles, will be pivotal in motivating and developing the team.

It would be advantageous if you:

Have previous leadership experience as a manager Possess an academic degree and relevant experience in procurement Demonstrate positivity, proactivity, structure, flexibility, and initiative, while also managing multiple open cases Exhibit respectfulness, a strong personal opinion, and the courage to express it Are eager to share experiences, know-how, and offer support to colleagues when needed Possess the ability to collaborate, build trust and communicate clearly with others Have a high level of integrity and good judgment, adhering to Scania Values and Leadership Principles Are fluent in English (Swedish is a bonus)
