This role is a great opportunity to excel in a key leadership role in a complex environment. The incumbent will be a seasoned HSSE leader with significant experience in major projects and experience in operating sites in the chemical or oil and gas industry in Argentina.

Reporting to the senior HSE Business Partner and working in a collaborative environment, you will:

• Mentor, develop, support and guide a team that provides in-field HSSE support for activities.
• Take accountability for the delivery of the Health, Safety, Security, Environment strategy.
• Support the implementation of the Rincon Leadership Development and Coaching programme. Through the Leadership programme, support the Rincon Team in fostering an authentic, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture founded on trust to consistently deliver Project outcomes.
• Ensure Rincon Lithium activities remain compliant with agreed policies and standards.
• In cooperation with Studies, design and deliver mitigation strategies and programmes in line with obligations, schedule and budget requirements.
• Ensure robust HSSE targets and metrics are in place, actively monitored and reported in accordance with agreed requirements.
• Work closely with leadership, external affairs, communications and studies to ensure integration of commitments, identified risks, and strategy into overall business planning.
• Foster strong HSSE capability within the team and across site activities. • Build capability and oversee the management of Emergency Response, Medical Services and Security services across the project.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor degree or higher in an Environmental, Safety or Health discipline, or a relevant combination of professional experiences.
• 15+ years of experience in the development of large-scale oil and gas, mining, or chemical construction and commissioning projects working in complex and dynamic social and political environments.
• Demonstrate considerable experience in a similar role, having been involved in Design, Drilling, Projects and/or Operations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a team of HSSE professionals.
• Knowledge of construction planning through the project stages of feasibility, execution and close-out.
• Incident management and investigation.
• Major project development (design) and construction, commissioning. • Leadership skills to enable a team to be successful - coach, mentor, participate, direct. • Professional skill set to deliver quality HSEC programmes, reporting and monitoring.
• High level of written and verbal communication.
• Attributes that openly display HSEC as a personal value.
• Speak Spanish and English.
