LATAM Data Privacy Operations Manager

Company Description

This role’s primary responsibility is to ensure that data privacy principles are implemented into all areas of Publicis’ business in the Latin American market. This position should have knowledge of data privacy laws that are applicable to the adtech and advertising industry. The position will coordinate across senior-level business, engineering, and system administration stakeholders to implement data privacy by design and default into existing and future proprietary systems. This role will navigate between strategic business objectives and systems/process concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Support implementing and managing the Data Privacy Program for the Latin American market alongside the Global Data Privacy Program Lead in close coordination with the country CEOCollaborate closely with Publicis Groupe´s Global Data Privacy Office, regional DPOs as well as the Global Security Office to ensure alignment between Groupe´s global cyber security and privacy and data protection practices and programsServes as one of the data privacy subject matter expert with a focus on Latin American privacy and data protection laws and regulations.

Activities

Undertake reviews of our business processes to ensure the best practice are followed around the handling and use of personal informationUnder the supervision of the Global Data Privacy Program Lead:Deploy and ensure the completion of record keeping obligationsCompile status reports of data privacy deliverables to executive leadershipProvide leadership and strategic guidance to product/system owners in the design and evaluation of privacy and data protection related tools and projects (e.g., privacy-by-design).Lead all phases of vendor due diligence assessment for all market specific vendors/partnersPartners with vendor contract owners to ensure contractual obligations are met by vendors in accordance to data privacy lawsFacilitate factual due diligence activities for data privacy impact assessmentsPrepares and assists with presenting clear, accurate and timely reports on privacy and data protection risks, risk mitigation measures and compliance activitiesSupport monitoring compliance with multiple data protection laws, our data protection policies, awareness-raising, training, and auditsParticipates in client meetings for questions related to data privacy and protection matters.Be informed on the evolving privacy regulatory landscape and (a) inform the Global Data Privacy Program teams on the potential impact; and (b) understand the impact on the Latin American market operations, processes and tools and ensure projects and tasks are initiated to reflect the changing landscape.

Role specific competencies

Sr. Privacy Program Manager/Director must possess excellent knowledge of adtech industry with strong initiative, collaboration skills, communication proficiency, problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent management and leadership skills.Must be comfortable working in a distributed functional team with remote management supportStays informed on the evolving data privacy landscape to (a) understand the potential impacts on media´s business offerings; and (b) to design and implement the necessary corrective actions in relation to the team’s/PMs current operations, processes and tools to remain compliant

Experience and qualifications – essential

5+ years experience in the adtech and digital media industryAbility to manage 8-10 parallel medium to large size projects in a matrixed, multi-discipline environmentIdeally experience of collating and preparing Subject Access Request disclosuresNot requirement but preferred minimum of 10 years professional work experience with ideally 3 year of which is data privacy related experience with a focus on data privacy and protection laws, regulations and best practices

Experience and qualifications – desirable

Experience in or knowledge of information technology.IAPP certification(s) (e.g. CIPP,CIPP/E, CIPM)
