Your New Role

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for payroll administration, payroll audit, and the application of best practice payroll processes. The Analyst will compile, analyze, and document issues on payroll and related activities in order to identify systemic issues or problems. (S)he will research and respond to payroll inquiries from customers and stakeholders. This individual will support internal audits of various payroll areas and prepare materials for external and internal auditors. (S)he will participate in special projects when required.

Your Role Accountabilities

Responsibility for accurately and timely execution of international payroll by working closely with Safeguard payroll provider in a timely manner, with a high level of accuracy. Primary contact for outsourced payroll service provider. Ensure compliance with the payroll processing calendars of each of the countryPoint of contact for International payroll operations, employee payroll related issues, benefits and questions concerning the payroll tools and processes as well as issues relating to local authorities. Providing excellent customer service in researching and responding to payroll related inquiries from employees, agencies, and other internal/external parties. Resolving ticket requests in case management system for issuance of payments and other payroll issues. Compiling, analyzing and documenting issues on payroll and related fiscal activities in order to identify systemic issues or problems. Identify opportunities and help to implement continuous improvements for procedures in the payroll. Work closely with Legal, Finance and HR to ensure payroll compliance. Supporting internal audits of various payroll areas and preparing materials for external and internal auditors. Compiling statistics and reports on a regular basis as well as ad hoc requests as well as Year-end reporting. Performing data analysis by running reports, and using Excel functionality (vlookups, index match, pivot tables). Participating in testing of payroll system or process changes and enhancements.

Qualifications & Experiences

Minimum 2 years of payroll, finance or accounting experience required Experience managing a third-party payroll vendor(s)Direct experience and understanding of related requirements in payroll/compensation for LATAM Experience with systems and processes required (Workday, PeopleSoft and SAP) Understanding of regulations related to salaries, taxes, benefits and other LATAM payroll related matters Bachelor's degree (or equivalent in years of experience) in Business, Accounting, Human Resources Management or related field or the equivalent knowledge and experienceGood knowledge of compensation/benefit practices and statutory requirements across provinces in LATAMSpecific knowledge of payroll and compensation practices and statutory requirements in LATAMExposure to and familiar with various payroll systems, applications, vendors in use within the LATAM market (e.g., Safeguard)
