Production Designer Team Lead

A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people.  We are hiring a Print/Digital Team Lead to run a group of Designers supporting a major client for the USA. This role will oversee this studio talent in creating digital and print files including composition, layout, file organization, and delivery. The Print/Digital Team Lead will ensure the smooth running of daily studio operations, creating and implementing efficient workflows, coordinating projects across all disciplines and maintaining and championing high-quality standards across all creative production output. This role will work closely with the Project Managers, and the Head of Print Operations to create a successful team process. We will look to this Studio Manager to be able to check files and advise designers in Photoshop and InDesign best practices.

A strong understanding of the creative production process, with a keen ability to oversee shifting priorities, quick turnarounds and high-volume planning are critical traits to be successful in this role. This role is also responsible for ensuring that all work leaving the studio is high quality in accordance with the studio’s standards.

 Description:

Take in various projects for print, OOH, and retouching assignments from Project Managers, delegate to Designers Communicate between departments verbally and in writing (English and Spanish) Check design concepts against all backup information to ensure all correct information is contained and accounted for Ensure team is meeting deadlines and communicating on any delays Uphold client brand guidelines and train new Designers on how to work within the client requirements Lead implementation of new guidelines, processes, or client requirements Knowledge of various publication and portal requirements Prepares documentation, maintains records, and coordinates logistics for material shipment Ensure that deadlines for submitting various assets to Creative Operations team are met Resolve client issues/complaints to the satisfaction of main stakeholders Overtime and weekend work might be required due to client deadlines Problem solve and make decisions based on technical skills

 

Requirements:

Fluent in English (at least C1) +4 years of experience in a similar role in the advertising industry Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites including Photoshop and InDesign Figma workflow experience The ability to work in a fast-moving environment with an agile mindset with a positive attitude Superb organization and time management skills Proactive and confident in prioritizing competing demands in a fast-paced environment Firm grasp of agency environment / processes and a love of creating order in the chaos Proven understanding and ability to drive accurate resource planning, utilization and forecasting
