Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity to join our growing Global Marketing Excellence Team and partner with the Director of Marketing to establish Research and Insight as a critical business function. You will be a champion for market and customer insight across all geographies, driving better marketing and product thinking, helping support the short- and long-term delivery of enterprise value growth.

You will own all colleague, market and consumer insight for Travelex, be entrepreneurial in nature and willing to operate using a lean tool set to deliver fast and smart insights to the business. Your remit will be wide in scale and geography, operating across global and local markets, as well as supporting tenders, proposals and new market launches.

Who you Are:

As the founding member of the Research and Insight team at Travelex, you will have significant autonomy to establish new processes, rhythms and forums, tools, and fundamentally shape the future of the function. Sat within the Global team, you will be working closely with brand, product Marketing, CX, Product, Retail and local Marketing teams to drive impact, and should be well versed in establishing positive relationships, demonstrating high influence and creating momentum.

The Research and Insight function at Travelex must establish itself as a smart, insightful, agile partner that delivers rapid and meaningful contributions into workstreams, we need the right energy and capabilities from you to make this happen.

You will:

Develop research programmes to inform business planning, creative marketing design, colleague engagement and product development

Collaborate with a range of teams to ensure the generation of insights is relevant and informing important business outcomes

Use quantitative and qualitative research skills to generate actionable insights

Collaborate across the business to ID, define and deliver ad-hoc projects

Partner with core global marketing team colleagues to bake Research insights into critical projects

Establish a self-managed customer panel for advertising and product testing purposes

Establish longitudinal brand tracking across our geographies

Create a regular forum for insight sharing across the business and promote R&I as an important and well engaged new team within the business

The ideal Research & Insight Manager will have:

Knowledgeable with quant and qual methodologies

Great communication skills

Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders

Being able to tell a story using data

Experience managing projects from end to end

Desired experience

Must - 5+ years of Research and insight delivery, with a track record of high performance, growing scope and cross business influence and acceleration.

Must - Experience within one of the following sectors - tech, digital, finance or banking, having focused on consumer-focused retail insight delivery.

Must - Excellent project management skills with the ability to deliver on deadlines and manage multiple R&I initiatives at once; thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy

Must - Strong communicator, with the ability to turn insights into clear recommendations

Must - Ability to strategically plan, deliver, analyse and play back your work to all levels of a business – into front line colleagues as well as senior stakeholders

Must – Operated across multiple geographies – we are a global business and need somebody who can partner with local market colleagues in support of their aims and objectives
