Reports to the Patient Care Manager or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients in a variety of surgical areas as assigned in accordance with unit/program philosophies, competency guidelines, policies and the CRNBC Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Two years medical/surgical-nursing experience preferred including chemotherapy administration, pain management.

Skills And Abilities Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts including co-workers, physicians, community agencies' representatives, patients, and families.
