Senior Cloud Security Engineer

So, even if you feel that you’re close but not an exact match, we encourage you to apply. Overview To act as a Senior Security Engineer, you are expected to work in the best interests of the company. This role will be part of the global security architecture and engineering function with twin teams in US and APAC regions. The primary objective of the role will serve as a key technical resource in Global Cyber and Information Security (GCIS) organisation. Will be responsible for documenting and approving rules for Security tooling in addition to troubleshooting and implementation assistance within those platforms. Will be responsible for creating low level security engineering documentation, configuration guides, run books and best practices. Work closely with Security Architecture team, Information Security colleagues, IT & Infrastructure organisation (Network Architecture, Engineering and Operations) and Business Units (BU) globally to provide security guidance and recommendations. At Gallagher, we offer hybrid working and this will be two days a week in the office and 3 days working from home. How you'll make an impact Define and create Information Security engineering standards, artefacts, design patterns and technical specification documents. Provide engineering expertise across all network products, with focus on Next Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA’s), Secure Web Gateway (Zscaler) and Endpoint solutions, with focus on Trellix/McAfee product and Ms Defender product suites. Take ownership and create Low Level Design (LLD) and operational run books based on the level 1 architecture design Expert level knowledge on Network Protocols, Remote Connectivity, Threat Prevention, Sandbox, DDoS, URL Filtering and SSL decryption Participate in troubleshooting design level issues Assess, monitor and recommend improvements to the global network security architecture to improve security posture, mitigate risks and balance costs Apply skills to security services and help build and protect enterprise systems, applications, data and assets across multiple geographic regions. Proactively identifies technical and architectural risks, commenting and/or providing alternatives for improvement. Collaborate and partner with various key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure alignment with the overall intended design. Partner with architects, engineers and operational staff within infrastructure, network, application and business teams to ensure that solutions are developed and managed as per GCIS policies and standards About you Previous experience working with (Firewalls, Web Proxies and Endpoint Security Solutions) Hands on experience working with cloud service providers (Azure and AWS) Hands on experience and expert level understanding of operating systems, Antivirus and malware lifecycle. Experience in troubleshooting and identifying performance/operational issues and remediating them. Problem solver and desire to close issues, pragmatic and realistic with solutions. You will be a self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service. Able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an ability to present technical challenges to technical and non-technical audiences internal and external to the organisation. Flexible and resilient, handle various demands planned and unplanned. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
