This account management position supports the Human Identification (HID) business and drives product and service adoption. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong sales and territory management skills, technical expertise and a record of sales excellence. The individual will promote the product portfolio to HID/Forensic accounts in an assigned regional territory with the ovverall objectives of: driving sales revenue, forecasting accurately, and leading customer experience in their individual territory and in support of the North America team.

Primary responsibilities include:

Field based Sales Account Management for Forensic accounts and Law Enforcement agencies. Development and execution of effective sales strategies to increase penetration of traditional HID products and RapidDNA technology within the territory which includes public and private forensic labs, law enforcement agencies, coroners and medical examiners. Understanding and assessing customer needs and objectives, to develop solutions and present value propositions using our HID portfolio. Forecasting, funnel management, preparing business reviews, participating in sales meetings and collaborating with HID partners, including the Rapid business development team, Rapid Enablement team, Field Application Scientists and Validation Scientists.

Job Skills

Develops knowledge of accounts and  interprets customer needs to propose solutions.Possesses technical competence of the HID portfolio including instruments and consumablesDemonstrates strong team-selling skills to collaborate with colleagues to increase overall sales revenueExhibits effective consultative and strong listening and presentation skillsOrganizes and coordinates all activities in the assigned territory to promote high CAS scores.Demonstrates business skills including accurate forecasting and robust funnel management.

Job Knowledge

Industry knowledge of the forensic market and law enforcement, preferredOverall product knowledge and relevant applications for all products associated with capillary electrophoresis, Quantitative PCR and Rapid DNA technology.Knowledge of competitor products and differentiating features, preferred.Understanding customer decision making process and key decision makers and influencers.Experience navigating long selling cycles across an organization, particularly in state and local government.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology or equivalent.Completion of graduate level coursework or advanced degree preferred.Requires at least 5 years of successful sales (and/or support) experience of analytical instruments and/or related consumable products.Ability to travel at least 60%.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $96,000.00–$130,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
