Timekeeping analyst

The Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications to join the Buenos Aires Downstream Service Center Team for the Timekeeping analyst role. In addition to providing Downstream services support, the more than 1000 professionals that work at BASSC, provide expert information technology, human resource, finance, procurement, and solutions to Chevron partners around the globe.


Overview: Buenos Aires Downstream Service Center, provides back office and customer service support to the North America (US and Canada) and Latin America Retail, Aviation, Commercial & Industrial, Lubricants and Chemicals businesses.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

50% -Responsible for processing daily system exceptions/overrides per the existing software (Track) for 10-15 assigned companies. Processes daily exceptions based on approval guidelines and emails Chevron resources when necessary to obtain approval. Researches the audits and report findings to vendors. Ensures overrides are processed within the guidelines and meet compliance standards. Research contract terms to apply appropriate billing
Engages daily with multiple companies, departments. Tracks Chevron approver compliance follows up on authorizations with approvers and escalates delinquencies to the Team Lead.

15% -Mitigates daily issues with the Track software and audit tool. This includes pay formulas not calculating, schedule issues, outages, minor system glitches and gate issues. Maintain the audit tool as needed for new contractors and resource codes. Ensure gates are scanning into Track for contractor readings and work with security on badging issues, and vendor name migration.

15%- Assists in training the vendors on process compliance. Has daily interaction with 10-15 company liaisons. Ensure all companies are following the written guidelines for Track/invoice auditing and Cost control and engage leads when guidelines are not met. Reports vendor metrics as well has problems with Chevron groups (IMPACT, Routine Maintenance).

10%- Handles new employee system set up and maintains all individual coding changes.

10%- Ad hoc duties such as: Analysis on gate log activity, researching over/under payments, working with security on gate issues/missing scans, vendor name migration, system cleanup, and record retention per corporate retention schedule.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree holder or student in a business administration related field.

Advanced in oral and written English communication with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working and communicate with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
